Painterly Pears

 Hello!

For quite some time, I've had my eye on the Painterly Pears Suite of products.  What can I say? The suite is amazing, and the paper is stunning!  I've been making several cards for a stamp camp that I will host in August and September, and I love all of these so much, I can't decide which ones to use for camp.

First, take a peek at this gorgeous paper!

Was I right?  Every piece of this paper has gorgeous colors and coordinates with so many of our cardstock colors.  And take a peek at the Perfectly Pairs Bundle that includes the stamp set and dies. The suite has all the products, but you can get the bundle and add a pack of paper and you're all set.

For my first card below, I used the 3rd piece from the left in the top row in the paper photo. This design is printed on the outer edges and if you cut this just right, you can get a minimum of 6 card fronts from 1 page. On a black card base, this designer paper just pops right off the card! Every single piece of this paper is gorgeous. Here I chose to snip the design of this piece from the bottom right corner of the 12 x 12 page. After snipping, I adhered it with our Tombow Liquid glue, and the sentiment is from our Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. These come in white with black letters, and black with white letters, all in one pack.  A few Low Profile Dots finish this off nicely, don't you think?

This is the first card I made when my suite arrived and it's simple, yet classy.  The yellow checked pattern is the back side of the floral pattern.  I love that our designer papers are two sided, and they always coordinate so well. On a black card base with a Very Vanilla sentiment panel, backed by another panel of black, I really like how this turned out.

One of the things I like to do when I get a new pack of papers is review the colors in the patterns. On the back of the package, Stampin' Up! lists all colors that coordinate with the paper. Many times, I find more colors that coordinate, just by studying the patterns in the paper including all the little dots in the middle of the florals.  While I didn't choose the color in this card, I think Calypso Coral might work, so I'll have to see what I can make soon with that color.  For this card though, Basic Beige was a perfect card base color as it is one of the colors listed on the back of the package.

I also used the Arches Dies (the smallest die here) to hold the sentiment.  I think using the arch die gives it just a different look because everything else on the card is squared off.

What do you think?  I'd love to see your comments.  Have I convinced you to get this paper? Or the bundle? Or both? If you purchase a bundle, you get a 10% discount off of the original single purchase price, so it's a great deal.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed your visit. Enjoy the rest of your week.
