Painterly Pears Part 2

Today I would like to share the other cards I made with this fantastic suite.  If you missed my first share, please go back and look for August 1st post.  As I mentioned earlier, I've been having a lot of fun playing with this beautiful paper.  I admit, I am a paper girl.  I've been a demonstrator for 15 years, and I still have some of the designer papers I bought when I first joined.  Isn't that sad?  Or is it good?  Sometimes the paper is so pretty it's hard to cut it up, but alas, we really should.  Otherwise, no one else will get to see the beautiful designs.

Before I get to my cards, did you know that we have concept artists at Stampin' Up! and every designer paper we offer, has been hand drawn by our artists.  Once it's exactly the way they want the design, then the paper is copied in bulk and it's amazing to see that none of the bright, crisp color is lost.  What you see is exactly how it ended up when it was designed and approved.  How cool is that?  OK, on to my other cards.

For this grateful heart card, I chose to use Berry Burst for my card base because you can see tiny snips of that color in the florals on the paper.  The dies allowed me to frame the sentiment and pop them up giving dimension to the card panel.  The sentiment is from the Label Me Grateful stamp set (and it comes with dies too).

For the Kindness card below, my card base is Mossy Meadow, and I love how this looks against the pink background in the paper.  I used Basic Beige for the sentiment panel and a few die cuts straight from the designer paper works out so well.  No need to stamp the pears, just die cut them from the paper!

In yesterday's post I showed you a cut out piece that was snipped directly from the bottom right of the paper.  This is the bottom left side of the paper.  Here I chose not to snip it but just use the entire panel that measures 3-3/4 x 5 and adhered it to a panel of Mossy Meadow.  The entire panel was then adhered to a card base of Peach Pie.

For my last card I used a Basic Black card base, with a little paper tearing of Mossy Meadow.  I did some quick cutting around the design of the paper using my paper snips though.  I didn't want to tear into that pretty pear hanging so cute on that branch.  The sentiment is from the Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. I added a little sparkled ribbon with Mossy Meadow and Gold Trim as well as some Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon.

I had so much fun playing with the Painterly Pears Suite and I hope you enjoyed seeing all the cards I've shared with you.
