Hello,
As part of my quest to take more time for myself, I had a play with a stamp set I got free when I attended a Stampin' Up! event in Raleigh, NC in March. Three ladies on my team went to spend a glorious few days with thousands of other demonstrators, and met new friends, had a blast seeing all the demonstrations of new products.
Peaceful View is a great background stamp that allows you to take any designer series papers that have a scenic image and just stamp on the front in a dark color. Here I used our Everyday Skies designer paper on a card base of Basic Beige. Unfortunately, my Memento Black ink pad wasn't juicy enough and I don't have a great stamped image, but I will do better on that next time.
The texture of the designer paper looks like an artist's canvas, so that's why you see those little dots in the clouds. Our concept artists actually hand draw all of our papers, and you get such realistic images when they are printed for production. This design is a image of a beautiful sunset and looks so pretty against the tree, fence and bird.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you like what you see. Until next time, happy stamping and have a safe, happy Labor Day. I hope you get to do something fun today.
