Butterfly Dreams....

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today I am sharing a card I made for a lady at the office who is retiring on Friday.  She's so excited to start a new adventure in her life, so I offered to make the card for all of us to sign, as well as a poster board, so all her friends and customers can stop by for cake and sign it.  I must admit, this was a FUN project and here it is:

First, the card is made with Gina K Designs stamps and card stock.  The floral paper and envelope are from the Watercolor Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! and the envelope was made using SU's Envelope punch board.  I wanted a larger card, this one is 5 x 7, so there's plenty of room for everyone at the office to sign it.
Coloring was done with Copics and the inside of the card reads" Let your dreams take flight:" (Gina K) and "Happy Retirement" from Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin' Up!)  I put sparkle on the wings using Dazzling Details (SU) and it really gives a little shimmer to it, although it's hard to see in the photo.
So, on to the card:

What do you think?  I'd love to read your comments, so please feel free to critique me!  :-)  Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome week!

  2. I seriously wouldn't have believed you colored those butterflies if you hadn't said so. I would have thought they were clip art or stickers or something, they're so perfect and professional looking. Pretty amazing, Bobbi! I imagine this went over with a big "WOW" at work, and it will become a keepsake.

  3. Critique? Ahhhhh....the power.

Actually, I come HERE to learn from YOU! Aaaaannnnnndddd....maybe to do a CASE and present it to a friend without giving you proper credit. HEY! I'm not making money!!! I'm not TELLING her I did it! I can't help she 'assumes'!! I'm not putting it on the internet!!!

Wait...I don't think I have. Hmmmm. Hold off on taking that last sentence to heart before I check...

Anyway...WHERE is the crime in having the one or two people who will actually socialize with me think I'M brilliant????? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO SELFISH????

Sorry. The crazy got away from me there for a second. I've GOT to stop scaling down on the meds. This 'sober' thing is not really working out for me. heh heh

Btw...this is beyond gorgeous. All your work is. That's why you're on the ol' 'blogs to stalk' list. MWAAAH!
