Have a Sweet Christmas

 Hello friends,

Christmas is just 3 days away and I wanted to jump on here and share some of the last few Christmas cards I made for the season.  The following cards are the ones that I managed to get photos of before I mailed them. I hope you enjoy them.

Love, Peace & Joy, some of the best words for a Christmas card. With so much going on in the world today, these three words may help to relieve some of the stress.  This design came directly from Lynn Dunn at Stamptastic Designs.  She's a demonstrator in Wisconsin and she always does beautiful work. I love that we can share our designs with others and not have to worry about "copying" because that's a compliment to the designer.  If you want to see more of Lynn's work, check out her blog below:

I love this little snowman.  The stamp set is called Festive Friends and also has dies with the bundle purchase.  This card is my design and we made it at our November stamp camp in Arizona.  I colored him with Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate and Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends.

Both of the Merry Christmas cards above were made using The Merry Christmas large stamp on Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow cardstock.  The Traditions of Christmas designer paper takes center stage as a backdrop for the large sentiment.
The monochromatic Shaded Spruce card came together quickly when I decided to use two stamp sets to create one cohesive design.  Elegant Pine Snowflakes designer paper is showing off those snowflakes perfectly in the background. The Shaded Spruce & Gold Edge Ribbon is a perfect sparkly addition.  And the stamp set called Winter Scenes paired with a retired set for the sentiment seems to finish it off nicely.
These two Peace & Joy cards were also designed by Lynn Dunn of Stamptastic Designs.  I love how she used a fall embossing folder for texture on the white panel and stamped this great pine tree front and center on the card.  More of the Elegant Pine Snowflakes designer paper peeks out behind the tree with a snippet of Black & White & Gold Bakers Twine tied into a perfect bow.

The last four cards were made using products not found at Stampin' Up! I decided to start using some of my hidden stash in my craft closet.  The only Stampin' Up! used here is the Pool Party cardstock. Each card uses the most adorable papers that show cute snow people, little cottages and trees, sleighs and plenty of snowflakes. I stamped pages of gingerbread people using a Pretty Pink Posh stamp set and colored them all different with Stampin' Blends. I then cut them out, along with gum drops, lollipops and other candies using the matching dies. The sentiment is from the same stamp set that the gingerbread people and candies came from.

I decided that these snow people needed to be having fun in the snowbank, so I tore some Basic White cardstock and added 2 layers on dimensionals, then sprinkled it all with Wink of Stella.  The gingerbread man is having fun in the snow too!

For the last card I cut out some designs from pieces I had left from the other cards and added it to a panel that was also a scrap.  To make the full panel background, I added this delightful red and black checked design.  Aren't these gingerbread and snowmen cards fun?  I love them.

For the Sending Warm Hugs card, I combined two Stampin' Up! stamp sets; Winter Scenes and Woodland Scenery.  As soon as I saw both stamp sets, my mind was racing to design an entire winter scene. I started with the background mountains that also included the 2 small deer with the pine trees. I placed that stamp first on the right side, then on the left.  On the left however, I stamped the same image but off of the cardstock so only the portion of the stamp that included half of the mountain, and the 2 pine trees were visible.  Next, I did the cabin and foreground trees using the Woodland Scenery stamp set and colored the cabin door frame and windows using our Stampin' Blends.  Finally, on the left side just in front of the half mountain, I stamped the pond and park scene from Winter Scenes.  I made sure to include the trees and the little snowman next to the winding pond and colored them both with Light Pool Party, with a super light touch of the hand. For a final touch, I used Wink of Stella on all images with snow, water and mountains.  The smoke from the chimney was made using Light Smoky Slate Stampin' blend, again with a very light touch so it looked more like real smoke.

I am very happy with the result of this card.  I really love scenery images, nature and water scenes. They just make me happy. God created them all for us to enjoy and I love putting my vision to paper and cardstock.  I hope you enjoy them too.

This is my last post before Christmas, and I hope to be back at least one more time before the New Year.  In the meantime, stay safe and warm wherever you are, and enjoy the birthday of our Lord Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas! 😘
