Beautiful Gallery

 Hello!

This past Saturday was our Arizona stamp camp day.  Our team member Teresa had some fantastic projects for us that we all really enjoyed.  We got to use an "oldie but a goodie" called Mod Podge. If you've been crafting for any length of time, you've probably used Mod Podge or know someone who has. It's been years since I've played with it, and I forgot how much fun it is. Take a look at see what we made.

Our Beautiful Gallery 6x6 designer paper pack has some gorgeous papers and some already look like they were painted with oils.  Using a sponge brush applicator, we applied a thin layer of Mod Podge (gloss) in a "cross hatch" pattern then let it air dry.  It only took a few minutes.  Then a light layer of the Mod Podge (matte) over the flowers and certain areas of the flower vase.  We used a small paintbrush for this detailed part. One more light coat of the Mod Podge gloss with the same "cross hatch" pattern with the sponge applicator, and it air dried into a beautiful Faux Oil Painting.

We did the same thing on a matching birthday card.  The gold embossing was done by Teresa and when I got my kit in the mail, all the parts were cut out for me.  All I had to do was put the card together.

The frame was purchased at Amazon and I'm sorry I don't have a link for you.  I believe it's an 8x8 frame and the gray wood look frame matches the designer paper so well.  I am going to gift this special project to someone for their next birthday.  Who wouldn't want to receive this?

I will have more to show you in the next few days.  Teresa did a fabulous job designing our projects this month and I can't wait to share her other two cards with you soon.

Thanks for stopping by.  Let me know what you think in the comments.  Enjoy your day!
