Take to the Sky

Hello and welcome! I know I've been absent for a while. I had a bathroom remodel in my home and to say things were "out of sorts" is an understatement. Between the work being done, and the dust everywhere, our house was in a bit of a chaos. It's amazing what you can find when old showers and walls are removed.  This led to a plumbing reconfigure and what was supposed to take about 3 days turned into 2 weeks.  Thankfully, it's all done now and after I spent a whole day cleaning, I think I can finally get back into my craft room.

Today I am sharing a new suite in our new 2024-2025 annual catalog.  On page 37, you will find the Take to the Sky suite collection.  I must admit, this wasn't on my radar, but my teammate Kathy from Arizona said she was in love with it.  As I mentioned to her that I needed to find masculine cards for a craft show next weekend, she offered to stamp and cut out some of the pieces for me and boy, did she ever!  I received several airplanes, clouds and sentiments.  All I had to do was find some paper and luckily, I was able to use some retired paper that coordinated with the inks she used to cut out the dies.  Here's what I made so far:

I have another confession to make.  I really like this set now!  Maybe it's because I didn't have to do any work cutting out all these pieces, but these cards were sure fun to assemble.  If my craft show is successful, I just may have to buy this bundle so that I have cards and projects for a future show.

A circle of vellum (also now retired) was placed on the white airplanes to give the impression of propellers spinning.  Some retired embellishments were used as the propeller bolt and various others were placed on the card fronts.

What do you think?  Not bad for a person who didn't think she needed this set.  Isn't it nice when that happens?

Thank you for stopping by today. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. There's so much to love in our new catalog.  If you'd like to view it online, click on the catalog photo to the right. If you would like a hard copy, please click the Request Catalog tab above.

Enjoy your day!
