Team Meeting Challenge Cards - Part 2

Hello and welcome!  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.  I apologize for not posting since December 16th, but the days just got away from me. My daughter and son in law decided to visit for Christmas and it was so great seeing them. Being closer to our family is part of the reason we decided to come back to the Midwest, from Arizona. It's so nice to be closer to everyone.

Today I'm sharing more cards from the challenge I gave my team. I asked them to make a card using specific criteria and they all did so well. Here is the outline I gave them:

  • A winter or Christmas card, using non-traditional colors
  • It must be a fun fold card
  • It must have vellum used anywhere on the card
I'll post my card first:

I used Basic Gray as my main color and the Winter Meadow designer series paper. This paper is NOT retiring at the end of this month; it will be carried over and I am SO very happy about that. This paper is gorgeous; full of soft, winter scenery, delicate ferns and berries.  Just perfect for any winter card, not just for Christmas. Here, I used one of the sheets that has this adorable deer featured in front of soft, watercolor images of trees in the snow in a forest. I found this fun fold design on Patti Bennett's blog from years ago. I don't know if it has a specific name, but I'm calling it a circle fold card. I cut a vellum circle and heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. A sprinkle of Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems finishes if off nicely.

The inside was stamped with Pebble Path ink using the Magical Meadow stamp set. This set has matching dies and both are retiring on January 3rd.  So, if you love this set or the bundle, you may want to order it soon and save 10% if you order the bundle.

Next is a card made by Marsha.

Marsha's card is called a Quad fold and was inspired by Mitousu Crafts. She used the Winter Meadow designer series paper, vellum basics and Misty Moonlight cardstock for her base. This is such a cool fun fold. You use a quarter sheet of cardstock for the back (base) and a larger piece of designer series paper, scored at 3 places and the paper becomes the fold out part.

She used retired stamps for this card, but you can use just about anything you have on hand. Just change up the sentiment and the inside. Inks used are Misty Moonlight, Black, and Moody Mauve (retired). A touch of the 2023-25 In Color Dots finish it off.

I still have 2 more team cards to share, but I'm waiting on more pictures and information from the gals. As soon as I have that, I'll post them for you. In the meantime, please remember that the current Mini catalog is expiring as of January 3, 2024.  If there's anything you need, now is the time to place an order.  Use my host code to be entered into my Bonus drawing for a free stamp set valued at up to $ 25.  Check it all out above under the tab titled Ordering Bonus. My host code is on the right-side bar. This code will expire on January 3, 2024 at midnight, Central Time.

I would like to wish you all a very, Happy, healthy and safe New Year! God Bless! 💖
