Translucent Florals

As part of the demonstrator team, I was able to attend an online class called Creativity Now last Saturday. Stampin' Up! held this class for demonstrators all over the world. It was like a mini convention to me, full of fun sneak peeks of new products coming soon, behind the scene discussions, as well as making 3 really cool cards with the new Translucent Florals bundle.  This bundle will be in an upcoming catalog, being released very soon.  Here's the three cards we made using this unique set.

Look at how sheer those Poppy Parade flowers are on the card on the left.  The leaves are translucent as well, making this a fun set to use. The middle card is mostly white, with an embossed panel in the middle. I inked the vellum with my Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green ink pad, then cut the flowers out with the matching dies.  We adhered those to the white panel, giving it a pop of color.

The card on the right has a Gray Granite base, with Garden Green leaves.  You can see the detailed floral sprig peeking out from under the leaves, in Gray Granite ink.  I chose to make mine a birthday card instead of a congratulations card.

It was nice to be able to participate with other demonstrators and see all the new happenings at Stampin' Up!  Our concept designers talked about how designer series papers are made. Did you know that inspiration comes from them in many ways? I learned that the Earthen Elegance designer paper was made from inspiration that the artist found at a local pottery shop.  She found the perfect color scheme in that shop, and she designed the papers using various items she had in her home.  A fork made a perfect "basket weave" design on one of the pages.  Who would have thought? 😀

Although I can't show you the products for all of these cards now, as the Translucent Florals bundle isn't available yet. I have listed all other products I used to make these cards. I'm including a link to the Earthen Elements designer series paper as well, so you can check out how beautiful this paper is.

You can click on the photos to see the items up close and add them to your shopping cart, if you wish. If you use my host code a checkout (on the right side bar), you'll get a free gift from me.

Thanks for stopping by today.
