Trees from Carrots?

Did you ever think you could make trees from carrots?  No?  Neither did I until I saw it done by another demonstrator on Facebook.  Her name is Barbara Ruby and I was blown away at her design and creativity. Barbara used the Thanks a Bunch stampset that you can get FREE with a qualifying order during our Sale-a-bration promotion which runs through February 28th.  I love that the word CASE (copy and share everything) is front and center in the Stampin' Up! world, because it's perfectly OK to copy someone else's design, and the polite thing to do is give them credit. So, here's to Barbara Ruby and her wonderful inspiration.  Her Facebook group is: Creative Bee Hive - Bee Ruby.

I would never have thought to stamp the carrots upside down to make trees. I used Old Olive for the dark and light shaded "trees", by stamping once full strength, then again without re-inking. The shading on the trees was done with full strength inking. The ground was made using the small carrots in the set, just stamping them upside down to make them look like little bushes. The inside of the card is stamped "a bunch".   Love you a bunch!

Stampin' Up! demonstrators have a group Facebook page. We share our creations and give each other kudos and tips.  If you're thinking that sounds like fun...it IS! We are having a special joining promotion going on until February 28th.   And don't worry, you don't have to hold classes.  Most people join just for the fun of it and getting a great discount on products we already love! Check out my "join my team" link above to learn more.
Contact me today for more information. If you'd like to have copies of the current catalogs, please click the "request a catalog" link above and I'll get them out to you. Have a great day!
