Occasions & Sale-a-bration Cards Part 2

Hello and welcome! Today I'm showing you the cards we will be making later this month at our stamp camp.  It's all about the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs, and each one of these cards was made using products from both of the catalogs.  Here they are:
One of the greatest things about this craft is the CASE technique. This means "copy and share everything" and I've done just that.  This card is almost an exact copy of a sample in the Occasions catalog. It was just so cute, I couldn't resist keeping it pretty close to the original. I've added some sequins and stamped Happy Birthday twice, and all funky, to give it some interest.

My inspiration for this card came from Page 6 of the Sale-a-bration catalog. I stamped the flowers with Versamark ink, then embossed with White embossing powder. I then used sponge daubers and sponged ink over the embossed area, wiped the excess off with a paper towel. The result is a very subtle coloring scheme, much like a water color design.  The hello was stamped with Hello Honey ink, then I used the Gold Wink of Stella pen to highlight.  The squiggly lines around the "hello" were my way of fixing a stamping boo boo.  You know...we've all done it.  Stamped too hard and ended up with a stamped edge of the stamp.  There's never any mistakes in stamping, right?  It can always be fixed.

One of my favorite sets, Birthday Blooms has a complete line of coordinating paper, card stock, ribbon and embellishments. You don't need a lot of layers here; the Birthday Bouquet paper can stand all alone, with just this colorful bloom layered on top.

Another item you can get FREE from the Sale-a-bration catalog.  Botanicals for You has beautiful fonts and this "just for you" is front and center, making this set versatile for just about any occasion. Notice the muted look of this card?  That's because I layered a sheet of the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack over the card front. The vellum in this pack has very light, white designs, all in delicate floral motifs.  Perfect to add just a little touch of subtlety and mystery.  The vellum is adhered with a piece of the Botanical Gardens Designer Washi Tape.

Another beauty of a set, in my opinion. What I Love is another set you can earn FREE in the Sale-a-bration catalog. It's a 2-3 step stamp set, which means, you can choose  your colors, and layer them on, one at a time. Here I used Blackberry Bliss for the darkest color. Then added Blushing Bride and Wisteria Wonder for the shadowing.  I also stamped the inside of the card, to show you just how lovely this set is.

For those of you who follow me, or know me well..I say this a LOT.  Another great set of products from Stampin' Up! These Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs have so much to offer.  With so many things to choose, I end up getting them all.  I just can't help myself.
If you don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and would like your own copy of these great catalogs, email or call me today.  I'd be happy to send them to you. Have a great day.
