Hello friends and welcome to my blog today. I hope you are having a great day, enjoying whatever it is you love. Today's card is one I made using the new Butterflies framelits in the Occasions catalog. I don't think a sentiment is needed, as this gorgeous butterfly stands out, all on its own.
I used our Glossy White card base, and sponged Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe and just a dash of Tangerine Tango on the card base. I cut out the large butterfly in black, and the smaller one in Tangerine Tango. The two smaller ones are stamped onto Daffodil Delight card stock, with Basic Gray and Tangerine Tango, then cut out with the smallest of the 3 framelits in the set. My Big Shot sandwich included a piece of wax paper, and I even used that, to give the illusion of this creature spreading her wings. Her body and antennae are made up of our rhinestones.
I am loving the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs. If you haven't received your copy yet and you do not currently have a SU demonstrator, please let me know and I'll get them out to you immediately.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! :-)

What could possibly be cuter than more gnomes? We had a really nice set of these little cuties for Christmas, and now here they are again ...
This is one of the prettiest dies ever from SU! I wish they could come up with a punch or a die for every stamp set, I just don't like fuzzy cutting. Your card is so lovely, it looks like this gorgeous butterfly, with all this fabulous bling, is flying out in the sunset. I've never tried to sponge on glossy card stock because I always wonder if the ink would smear, glossy to me means non absorbent, am I wrong?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing Bobbi.
Oh, this is gorgeous! Love the sponged card base!
